12/25/12: SANDY IS A GREAT AND WELL BEHAVED GIRL OF ABOUT 10 YEARS OLD. SHE ENJOYS BEING OUTDOORS AND THE NEIGHBORS WHERE SHE LIVED WEREN'T HUGE DOG LOVERS, SO THEY COMPLAINED WHEN SHE CAME OVER.
SHE IS AN ABSOLUTEY WONDERFUL DOG IN EVERY WAY--IS HOUSE TRAINED, UP TO DATE ON SHOTS, SPAYED, WONDERFUL WITH KIDS AND DOGS. SHE LOVES WATER AND PLAYS IN A BABY POOL DIPPING HER HEAD UNDER WATER.

I AM A SWEETIE!! I AM VERY PLAYFUL AND DO WELL ON A LEASH. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE WATER AND GOING BYE-BYE!!! I AM HOUSEBROKEN AND HAVE A BEAUTIFUL COAT. I KNOW BASIC COMMANDS AND NEED SOMEONE WHO WILL GIVE ME LOTS OF LOVING. I ALSO DO WELL WITH OTHER DOGS AND CATS. DO NOT APPEAR TO HAVE ANY ALPHA TENDENCIES.

GRACIE'S HEART OF GOLD DOES NOT SHIP OUR DOGS - WE REQUIRE A FACE TO FACE MEETING. WE ALSO DO NOT ADOPT OUR DOGS AS GIFTS UNLESS THE RECIPIENT MEETS WITH THE DOG PRIOR TO ADOPTION. Our adoption fees average $150-400 for dogs and puppies. This is due to the rising costs of veterinary care, gasoline prices, and boarding fees which are paid for out of our own pockets. As we are not funded by anyone - adoption donations help to offset only a part of our cost of getting the dog ready for adoption. All dogs > 6months are vetted, up to date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested and wormed. Puppies < 6 months will have at least 2 puppy vaccinations, microchipped, and wormed. If age appropriate, will potentially also be spayed/neutered and have rabies vaccination also. You will be required to provide proof of spaying/neutering after adoption along with a rabies vaccination, if necessary. Kittens and Cats are typically $35-75 based on the vet care. If mature enough all will be spayed/neutered.
